Vaccines help to protect children from preventable diseases that can make them ill or even result in death. However, many adults have questions about the importance and safety of vaccinating children.
In this booklet geared towards parents, NEA Healthy Futures (formerly NEA HIN) uses information about childhood vaccination from reliable sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and others. The information included explains the purpose, benefit and timing of the vaccines that are recommended for children, so that parents can make informed choices about their child’s health.
This booklet also provides the CDC’s vaccination schedule for children 0-18, along with a simple to use vaccination tracker.
Protect your children, protect your school, protect your community.
